Board Members and Executives

Pablo Granifo was appointed Chairman of Quiñenco in December 2023, where he has served as a director since 2019. He is also Chairman of the boards of Banco de Chile, Banchile Administradora General de Fondos S.A., Banchile Asesoría Financiera S.A., Socofin S.A., Viña San Pedro Tarapacá S.A., and of the Executive Committee of Banchile Corredores de Seguros Limitada,  and sits on the boards of Compañía Cervecerías Unidas and Empresa Nacional de Energía Enex. In 2023 Mr. Granifo was elected director and Vice-Chairman of Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores S.A. Previously, he was CEO of Banco de Chile from 2001 to 2007, CEO of Banco de A. Edwards from 2000 to 2001, Commercial Manager of Banco de Santiago from 1995 to 1999 and Corporate Manager of Banco de Santiago from 1999 to 2000. Mr . Granifo holds a degree in business administration from Universidad Católica de Chile.

Jean-Paul Luksic has been a member of Quiñenco’s Board of Directors since 1993 and has served as its Vice-Chairman since 2013. He was elected Executive Chairman of the Board of Antofagasta plc in 2004, after having served as a director of the company since 1990. He is currently Chairman of the boards of Antofagasta plc and Antofagasta Minerals. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of SM SAAM S.A. and SAAM S.A., and a director of Banco de Chile and the Mining Council. Mr. Luksic holds a B.Sc. degree in Management and Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Nicolás Luksic has been a member of the Board of Directors of Quiñenco since April 2013. Between 2003 and 2006 he formed part of the Department of Financial Analysis of Quiñenco, and at the same time became a Director of Viña Tabalí. In 2006 Mr. Luksic went to live in France for a period of three years, where he was Product Manager of Heineken’s subsidiary in that country for one year, and then Financial Analyst at AXA Private Equity in their Paris offices. On his return to Chile he was Export Manager for the Latin American market of Viña Valles de Chile (Tabalí and Leyda). Mr. Luksic is founder and Chairman of IONIX SpA, and Chairman of Río Negro S.A. and Inmobiliaria e Inversiones Río Claro S.A. He is also a member of the Boards of Compañía Pisquera de Chile S.A., Enex S.A., Socialab SpA, and co-founder and director of Levita Magnetics. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Finis Terrae.

Andrónico Luksic Lederer joined Quiñenco’s Board of Directors in May 2014. Since 2006, he has worked for Antofagasta Minerals, one of the largest copper mining companies in the world; currently he is Vice President of Development, an area that combines business development, mining resources and exploration, energy and innovation. In 2009, he began leading the company’s Canadian operations, based in Toronto, with a strong focus on business development and external relations, exploration and project feasibility. Before joining the company he worked at Banco de Chile. Mr. Luksic has a degree in business administration from Babson College.

Paola Luksic Fontbona joined Quiñenco’s Board of Directors in December 2023, after serving as a permanent advisor since 2021. She was the Chairwoman of the Luksic Foundation from 2005 to 2023. Currently she sits on other boards of companies and civic organizations, such as the ESE Business Advisory Board of Universidad de Los Andes. She is a graduate of the Senior Executive Program (PADE) at the ESE Business School at Universidad de los Andes and has studies in forestry engineering from Universidad de Chile.

Hernán Büchi has been a member of Quiñenco’s Board of Directors since 1990 and currently serves on its Directors’ Committee. He is also a director of Banco de Chile, and Tech Pack S.A., in addition to being an advisor to CCU’s Board of Directors. Mr. Büchi is the founder of Instituto Libertad y Desarrollo and is currently the Chairman of the managing council at Universidad del Desarrollo. Prior to joining the company, he held multiple public positions, including Minister of Finance (1985-1989), Minister of Planning, Superintendent of Banks and Undersecretary of Health. Mr. Büchi holds a degree in civil engineering from Universidad de Chile and a master’s of economics from Columbia University.

Juan Carlos Jobet joined Quiñenco’s Board of Directors in January 2024. He is currently Dean of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Business School, and is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. In the private sector, he has held different executive or director responsibilities in various industries, including finance, real estate, forestry, waste management and infrastructure. Additionally, in the public sector he has served as Minister of Labor and Social Security, Minister of Energy and Mining and Undersecretary of Housing and Urban Development, among other positions. Mr. Jobet holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) and in public administration (MPA) from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Ignacio Guerrero has been an independent director on Quiñenco’s Board since April 2024. He is a partner of the firm CBM Prime, and has held multiple executive or director positions in various companies such as Codelco, ING Bank and Citibank (both in New York, USA), Citicorp Chile and Banco de Chile. Mr. Guerrero holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has also been a university professor of business policy and capital markets.
