Santiago, August 24, 2026. Quiñenco expresses its regret at the passing of businessman Klaus-Michael Kühne, owner of Kühne Holding AG, at the age of 89. Since 2014, Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) has maintained a shareholders’ agreement with Kühne Maritime, a subsidiary of Kühne Holding, in the German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd.
Quiñenco also highlighted Klaus-Michael Kühne’s contribution to the development of the German shipping company, noting that his vision, leadership and determination were decisive in Hapag-Lloyd’s growth, positioning it among the world’s leading shipping companies. Part of that legacy is the alliance CSAV has built with the Kühne group, in a long-standing relationship of trust and collaboration.
Quiñenco extends its sincere condolences to the Kühne family and to the employees of its companies.
