Empresa Nacional de Energía Enex S.A. (Enex) is a fuel distributor and operator of convenience stores, with its parent company based in London, and operations in Chile, where it has the Shell license, in the United States and Paraguay.

In Chile, it is one of the main distributors of fuel and lubricants, through a nationwide network of 447 service stations operating under the Shell license, and 208 upa! And up¡ta convenience stores. Enex also serves industrial clients, mainly of the transport, mining and power generation sectors, and is a relevant player in the lubricants market, as Shell's exclusive distributor in Chile for this line of products.

In 2018, Enex started its international expansion with the acquisition of Road Ranger, the fourth largest travel center network in the USA, with 45 locations on the main interstate highways between Texas and the Midwest, with presence in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin and Texas. In 2019, it continued to move in this direction, completing the purchase of 50% and a capital increase in Gasur SRL, now Enex Paraguay SRL, a company that has a network of 75 service stations and convenience stores in Paraguay.

To facilitate Enex's global expansion, on March 23, 2020, the merger of Inversiones Río Argenta, a fully-owned subsidiary of Quiñenco and parent company of Enex, and Invexans, where Quiñenco owns 99.85%, was approved. The merger was materialized during April 2020.

Quiñenco first invested in Enex in 2011, when it acquired Shell’s assets in Chile.
